Alberto Orte Still & Fortified
Ole & Obrigado invites you to a live tasting on July 12th at 2pm EST with winemaker Alberto Orte in conversation with sommelier Jason Jacobeit of Batard Restaurant (NYC). Alberto Orte produces still wines made with Tintilla and other rare indigenous varieties. His newest project, Bodegas Poniente, seeks to recreate small-scale Sherry wines made in a pre-industrial style. Along with the Bodegas Poniente Fino, we will taste two examples from his El Aljibe estate: Vara y Pulgar Tintilla and a single-vineyard example of Tintilla from Pago Anina, Atlantida Tinto.
