Liquid Geography

 

Olé & Obrigado created Liquid Geography Mencía Rosé in 2013 as a way to give back and express our gratitude for the support and good karma that has helped our company thrive over the years. We are proud to be donating 50% of the profits on Liquid Geography wines to organizations that make the world a better place.

Liquid Geography Mencía Rosé currently benefits two causes: Wine on Wheels, supporting those with disabilities, and Cancer Center, devoted to cancer care, research, and education

In light of the incredible success of the original Liquid Geography Mencia Rosé, in 2021 we also introduced two additional Liquid Geography wines to benefit other causes:

Since launching Liquid Geography, we have raised over $500,000, getting us closer to our goal to achieve $1,000,000 in total donations by 2025.

Wine on Wheels

Wine on Wheels assists individuals with spinal cord disability to obtain proper support systems, resources, and services needed to live active and fruitful lives. Since 2011, Wheeling Forward has witnessed how each disability impacts every person’s life uniquely and has provided many with the motivation and resources to resume active, healthy lives.

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is the world’s oldest and largest private cancer center. It has devoted more than 135 years to exceptional patient care, innovative research, and outstanding educational programs. Today, they are one of 51 National Cancer Institute–designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers. The close collaboration between their physicians and scientists is one of their unique strengths, enabling them to provide patients with the best care available as they work to discover more-effective strategies to prevent, control, and ultimately cure cancer in the future.

World Central Kitchen

World Central Kitchen is a not-for-profit non-governmental organization devoted to providing meals in the wake of natural disasters. Founded in 2010 by celebrity chef José Andrés, the organization prepared food in Haiti following its devastating earthquake. Its method of operations is to be a first responder and then to collaborate and galvanize solutions with local chefs to solve the problem of hunger, immediately following a disaster.

Wellfleet SPAT, Shellfish Promotion and Tasting, Inc.

Wellfleet SPAT is a non-profit organization chartered in 2002 that is devoted to sustaining Wellfleet’s shellfishing and aquaculture industries. Wellfleet, Cape Cod, Massachusetts, has been considered the home of one of the world’s great oyster beds for generations. SPAT promotes knowledge and interest in Wellfleet’s shellfishery by educating the community. Their proceeds from their activities support the organization’s educational mission which includes a local college scholarship program, community grant awards and initiatives to support Wellfleet’s shellfishing and aquaculture industries.

Restaurant Relief Pack

 

In the spirit of a United Food & Beverage Industry, all of us at Olé & Obrigado would like to thank you for helping us raise over $65,000 for restaurant worker relief funds. The Restaurant Relief Pack was a retail program we launched to donate 50% of the profits from the sales of select wines from March 2020 through August 2020 to national (Restaurant Workers' Community Foundation) and local organizations providing direct relief to hospitality employees. We extend our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all the supporters and the 300+ stores across the US who have chosen to #HelpUsHelp by participating. Together with you and our retail partners, our team has sold thousands of cases of wine and hosted nearly 100 virtual wine tastings in support of this important cause.

Restaurant Workers’ Community Foundation continues to provide direct financial relief and other assistance to affected hospitality workers in the US.
